This past week, the people of Nairobi were hit with the burger craze! #burgerfest has come and gone and we’re all adjusting our pants for all the right reasons!
We tend to complain as humans and it’s not a bad thing at all but that’s only if it results in progressive moves to make sure the issue is no longer there to complain about…
I would say #burgerfest was definitely something positive that arrived into our city thanks to Eat Out Kenya and our previous complains on lack of diverse food is now gone.I remember back in the day (oh gosh I sound so old!) when the food scene in Nairobi never truly got our taste buds out of their comfort zones.
Our range in tastes and flavours were always kept within familiarities reach, so when we’re now in a day and age where 90 participating restaurants took part to create diverse burgers with different exciting mixes of flavours, I can confidently say we are living in a very beautiful time in Nairobi.
So you can imagine when Eat Out asked me to review a burger for #burgerfest I had both hands up like an eager kid in school saying yesssss look no further, I’m your gal!
You can now check out the full video of what happens in and out of the Urban Gourmet Burger kitchen as I got to take part in a burger review (and when I say take part, I got to try amazing burgers people!!)
Comment below on your #burgerfest experience and if you have any recommendations for restaurants you discovered during the week long promotion.
