Speaking to women everyday and helping them find that perfect outfit, shorts are almost always never in any conversations. When you travel, you cannot miss a woman wear a pair of shorts in summer/spring even in winter (yes believe it or not, with tights underneath). Is it just hard to find a pair of shorts or are women asking the question how to pick the perfect pair of shorts?!
Why do we not see shorts being worn in a warm environment like Kenya? So if the weather isn’t the problem, what could it be? Speaking to a few of my customers to get their point of view, the answer repeated by most was; it’s not a decent thing to wear in our society or they can never find shorts that fit them well or suit their body shape.
I can somehow understand if some women find it uncomfortable to show skin in our society (where men strip you in the middle of town for wearing mini skirts) but for those that are willing to wear them and simply can’t find a pair that suits their body shape? That is something that has to change.
I repeatedly tell women each day how important it is to dress for your body type! That’s how you can rock the best version of you and feel the most confident. To add to that point, shopping for clothes also becomes a lot easier if you know what suits your shape.
I owe it to all the beautiful women out there that are reading this to give you a guide on how you can pick the perfect pair of shorts for your shape. I know in the beginning I thought that I could look good in most shorts I picked and I was sadly mistaken. So this is something I hope can help you all as I know it definitely helped me.
If you also have a opinion or question on picking shorts, please comment below so we can discuss the best way of approaching it.
All Body Types: Mid-Length Shorts
Flabby Upper Legs: Knee-Length Shorts
Short Legs: Shorter Shorts
Plus Size: Bermuda Shorts
Tall & Thin: Roll-Up Shorts
It is not an exact science so for my choice of shorts, I normally look for a high-waisted look that is still long enough to cover my flabby parts of my thighs … You just need to know what parts you are comfortable with and go with that with a few of these guidelines in mind to help.
