I recently posted an article on my excitement as I started my Skinny Me Teatox 14 Day Plan. I am going to give you my complete unbiased experience for anyone that has been thinking about starting the same cleanse.
My plan included; a morning tea, night tea and the aim was to maintain a healthy diet so drinking other green teas during the day as well making healthy meal choices and maintaining a regular exercise regime. I started off really well, my determination to lose some weight and the miracle tea in my head kept me going as I sat at work chewing on carrot sticks (very difficult to do especially considering I can imagine the chocie box in the communal kitchen area).
I kept a food journal as well and found myself craving sugar all the time, so on Day 3 I started juicing fruits in the morning to get some sugar into my system. This worked for another 3 days so I did manage to fit in a morning workout here and there but found myself less motivated and had a lack of energy by Day 7.
I just wanted to give up and grab a tub of ice-cream and watch a chic flick, and finding out after all that 7 Day struggle I only lost 2 kg didn’t make it any easier and I felt the need to throw in the towel and give up. However I persisted with it all and surprisingly kept going till Day 14 but final weigh in displayed a loss a total of 3.5 kg’s which wasn’t as much as I wanted it to be if I’m being very honest.
Considering a lot of it was probably water weight, I have opted to head back into my clean eating routine that helped me lose more than 10 kg last year and is a lifestyle choice I can handle. The concept of models drinking 12 cups of green tea a day and chewing on celery sticks is mind-blowing, I almost lost my mind in the 14 Days! My only word of advice is that maybe because I didn’t have the energy to exercise as much as I wanted to, that’s could be why there wasn’t such a huge result for me but if you’re a lot more determined than what I was, then I’m sure this cleanse could work for you.
My conclusion on it is that it was a good experience for me as I did flush the toxins from my body and as a result my skin does look a lot clearer and I do feel better in some ways but if your choosing this cleanse for weight lose simply prepare yourself mentally for the cravings so it might be a better idea to slowly cut down on different unhealthy foods then go on the cleanse, in comparison to a next day change that will leave you craving food all the time!
